Venham Mais 5 – Baixa

Located in downtown Porto, the fame of the Venham Mais 5 beef sandwiches has spread rapidly throughout the city. With a short menu, the most intense bet is on the quality of the products used in the confection of their dishes. The centre of attention is placed on the beef sandwich, served in bread, with sirloin and melted cheese - you can also order a version with Serra cheese. Almost at the same level of fame are their desserts, especially the chocolate cake, a delight that blends the lightness of a merengue chocolate sigh with chocolate mousse. The portions are generous and often shared by the table, since the very philosophy of the house invites the sharing of stories, conviviality and, there you have it, food.

Beef sandwich, hot dogs, snacks, Francesinha.

If we went into a cafe in the 80s of the 20th century, it was rare that there was no pool table. This sport, allegedly created in the 15th century, had its first great Portuguese champion in 1936, named Alfredo Ferraz. In Portugal there was no billiards, not least because the Portuguese champion competed for the title while enrolled in the Spanish Federation, but what is certain is that it has become one of Portuguese favorite sports. Snooker Café is one of the few places where you can enjoy this sport, as well as having breakfast, lunch, snacks and having a meal. It has varied pastries and snacks, hot dogs, sandwiches, francesinha and a generous list of drinks.

House specialised in all types of drinks, liqueurs, spirits, national and imported, with a wide variety of Portuguese wines (Douro, Alentejo, Dão, Setúbal, Bairrada, Verdes, etc.), but especially dedicated to Port Wine, which deserves particular attention by this establishment. This is why it has already been named the “Cathedral of Port Wine”, due to the quantity, variety and qualities that one can find here. There are ‘harvestings’ and ‘vintages’ since 1834, ‘Rare and Precious’ from its private collection, leaving satisfied the most eloquent and demanding appreciator of Port Wine.
