The name of the restaurant announces seven original Francesinhas (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish) for you to try. The idea was to try to create versions of the well-known delicacy of the city of Porto. So, you can try the Francesinha Tropical, with pineapple and red fruits, the tuna one, the loin one, the turkey one, the cod one and the house special one, with shrimp, besides the traditional one. They are all cooked in the wood oven, as well as the pizzas, Bolognese lasagne or veal chop, soaked in the Francesinha sauce. There is also a variety of traditional Portuguese dishes to choose from, as well as desserts and drinks for all tastes. There are several competitively priced menus, with drink, soup, bread, olives and coffee included.

The specialties of Novo Molhe are sushi, tapas and homemade ice cream. In this space, part of the Restaurant Do Molhe building, three new tasting areas are available in addition to the already renowned and elegant restaurant service. Sushi is one of the cuisines in expansion, very appreciated by the Portuguese, as well as tapas, a type of snack characteristic of neighbouring Spain. Ice cream making, an art which is very much promoted in Italy, is also growing in our country, and the highlight goes to its artisan form, which allows the creation of original flavours. Novo Molhe awaits the visit of all those who appreciate the current cuisine.

Liliana and Pedro Abreu, two brothers, have been marketing Iberian black pork meat, hams and sausages for over 20 years. In order to give more visibility to these products, they decided to open, in 2017, Cerca Velha, a space for snacking, tasting and socialising. The “bifanas à Cerca Velha”, which are black pork steaks in a special sauce, served in exclusive bread, as well as the Iberian sausage planks and the generous list of Port and Douro wines from small producers, are worth mentioning. It owes its name to the primitive wall of Porto, which lies beneath the house. They take pride on the quality of their service, their location and the quality of their products, also sold in baskets.
