On April 25, 1947, Vicente Peres founded the Sical-Coffee Importer Society. A few years later, the Sical Cafeteria took another step, starting to serve coffee by the cup and continues with the transformation of the place into a cultural landmark, enriching its walls, in 1964, with two tile panels by Júlio Resende. In 2017, the master António Bessa, apprentice of Julio Resende, adds to the estate of the house another work. Confeitaria SICAL is currently a modern space with a relaxed atmosphere that complements the sophisticated views of downtown Porto with its own brand coffee. You can go with a refined pastry, varied sandwiches, toasts, natural juices and teas.

Capiche Ristorante & Pizzeria was born from Chef Glauber’s proposal to bring the best of Italian gastronomy to Portugal. From traditional starters, such as carpaccio, garlic breads, bruschettas and foccacias, to salads, such as Al Tonno and Caprese, not forgetting the typical pastas and pizzas, highlighting the chef’s recommendations and his creations, such as Três Tenores or Tonnara pizza, with vegetarian options and sweet versions, to the desserts of the day. In 2010, with the will to overcome the crisis, the brand ‘Sushi em tua casa’ (Sushi in your home) is born. After homemade sushi experiences, the result was so positive that the chance to commercialise the art of the creator arose. From the grandmother’s house to an industrial kitchen, after two years it became small. A super kitchen was opened, with a service area, biological garden and more recently a photographic studio. Naturally, the expansion happened. They have nine houses all over the country, with the guarantee that the sushimen are trained by the mentor and in constant communication, ensuring that the technical specifications of the products are followed to the letter. The products are natural and healthy, with freshly prepared pieces and fresh ingredients.
