Moreda owes its name to Manuel Francisco Moreda, a former councilor of the Oporto Chamber and member of the Porto Trade Association, who in 1860 opened a fig brandy distillery, which later evolved into the wider trade of wines and white drinks. Moreda has a huge variety of snacks made from shard cake such as nail and garlic shard cake. Noteworthy is the francesinha in Caco cake, a mix between the most typical Porto snack with one of the delights of Madeira. It offers economical lunchtime menus with meat and fish options including soup, bread, dessert and coffee. It is still a great place for group dinners.

Jóia da Coroa is a multi-brand gallery space that takes us back to the Belle Époque, and some say it is one of the best kept treasures in the city. It has recreation areas, six floors, maintains the original façade and has delicious details, such as painted ceilings, crystal showcases and the elevator with sliding doors. The place invites to refinement and in the tea room, with period chairs and sofas, coffee tables with cozy lamps, chandeliers and mirrors, you can snack with all the glamor. That’s where you can order scones, which come with jam, or something from your French-inspired pastries. You can also have a brunch, with natural orange juice, half toast, house cake, among others.

Founded by 4 alumni and friends of the hotel school, Meidin Pizzeria offers in its letter several options, such as garlic bread, unmissable pizzas in various combinations but also Italian pasta and savory crepes.
Sweet crepes and ice cream allow you to finish your meal with a nice dessert.
Meidin also has a wine and sparkling wine list that perfectly accompanies the restaurant’s menu.
