Set in a historical area of Porto, Linos Marquês cafeteria and restaurant integrates the spirit and pulse of the city of today, bringing together traditional values mixed with those of the current century. The modern decoration integrates traditional elements, giving the space a familiar and welcoming atmosphere. The offer is varied, both regarding the cafeteria and the restaurant. Their own production of pastry invites the tasting of sweet treats, such as ‘pão de ló de Ovar’ (similar to sponge cake; this version is wet), marble cake, ‘toucinho do céu’ (traditional dessert from Portugal and Spain, with an intense yellow colour; based on eggs and sugar, it originated in convents, the reason for the collective denomination of conventual sweets of this category; it consists of a kind of cake made with pearl sugar to which ground almonds are sometimes added, sometimes gila jam and finally a large portion of egg yolks. The name (literally bacon from Heaven) is due to the fact that the original version has lard as ingredient), among others, as well as the confection of its dishes, based on the tradition of Portuguese cuisine, there are new dishes every day and not missing the famous Francesinha (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish).

Founded in 1983, Baju is a famous and popular restaurant and brewery in Porto. If your question is “Do you serve francesinhas?” The answer is obvious: yes. In fact, the Baju’s francesinha is much appreciated and sought after by its customers. In this cozy space you can also choose to dine outside in the terrace area. Here you can choose other menu options, like salads, omelets, steak, hake au gratin, “”bacalhau à Braga” (codfish), “polvo à lagareiro” (octopus), veal chops, picanha from Brazil, tornedó with mushrooms and many other delicacies.

Chamiço opened its doors in April 1972. In this space you will find the flavors of traditional cuisine and also, according to themselves, “the best Francesinhas in Porto region.” This restaurant/snack bar has two rooms, including a smoking room with capacity of 120 seats. It has take-away service. The service is personalized and friendly. As part of the Madureira’s group, it specializes in Stuffed Crab, Natural prawns, Monkfish Rice, Codfish with bread, Hake Fillets, Laminated Picanha with Garlic, Mixed Kebabs, Three Peppers Steak and Mixed Grill, among others.
