Open since 2014, the Italian Gelataria Monalisa was born from the will of a Portuguese and an Italian who came together to recreate a typical Italian ice cream shop in the heart of Porto. With their own and exclusive handmade production, the products are imported from Italy, to produce unique flavors of fruits, nuts or even their favorite chocolates. By the way, the most sought after flavors are those that recreate bar or chocolate chocolates, such as KitKat, Ferrero Rocher or Raffaello. Basically, Monalisa sells dreams because, according to the inscription on its walls, "a dream should be synonymous with ice cream, because both complete each trace of your life with a piece of sugar."

They are considered ‘the’ Francesinha of Porto (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish), in a city full of offers with regard to this delicacy. There are several versions of this typical Porto dish, especially Guido’s super special, with shrimp. There are also other offers on the menu, with meat dishes such as nails on bread or plate, veal chops, stuffed steaks, tuna salads, sea delicacies, among others, omelettes, dogs, hamburgers, baguettes, toasts, soups, snacks, such as woodpecker and sausage, wines and refreshments, and menus for adults and children.

Open Kitchen began as a grocery store for Portuguese products from small producers across the country. To help make known the quality of these products, many of them organic, the owner Miguel Almeida set up a small kitchen on site. It is a kind of tasting room, where you prepare snacks with the products available. In addition to these snacks that you can taste at any time of the day, it also serves lunches made from the products you sell at the store. Open Kitchen was conceived to offer the customer differentiated products for their quality in an increasingly industrialized market
