Doce Alto is a confectionery originally founded on December 19, 1983. Present in a sector still underexplored at the time, it quickly stood out from other competitors due to the incessant pursuit of offering products and services of recognized quality, striving equally for exceptional service. With a loyal clientele, Doce Alto is constantly seeking to modernize itself, keeping it as the first choice for those looking for quality in the Greater Porto pastry shops. It currently has six establishments throughout the city, having won several awards nationwide that prove the excellence of its service.

The historic Confeitaria Petúlia opened to the public in 1972 and has kept the same owners since then. It is known for its many products of recognized quality, such as “Bolo Rei”, which is considered one of the best in the city and is made throughout the whole year.
But there are other specialties, such as “húngaros”, snacks, croissants, pies and “Pão-de-Ló”, which was considered the best of Porto in a blind tasting organized by Time Out in 2014.
It also has a grocery store with wines, chocolates, pasta and other products. In addition to the quality of its products, its atmosphere is familiar and welcoming.

O Melhor Bolo de Chocolate do Mundo (The Best Chocolate Cake in the World) opened in 2011 a small and cozy space in downtown Porto. It all started when Carlos Braz Lopes tried to recreate in his restaurant, former Mercado Santa Clara, a recipe he had tasted in Paris.
The result was not very close to the original, but the success was such that customers who tasted eventually dubbed the creation of “the best chocolate cake in the world”.
Layers of meringue wrapped in french chocolate mousse topped with a chocolate ganache – these are the traits that make this cake a unique experience. No wonder this delight has already reached such distinct points of the globe as Spain, Brazil, Australia and Angola.
