Casa das Bôlas has been open to the public in Lamego since 1996, having expanded to the city of Porto in 2017. The decoration of its space refers to the original brand house, and even pieces from its original space were used. The biggest specialty of this store is the well-known Bôla de Lamego, a traditional salty delicacy that can be served with different fillings: ham, codfish or beef in vines. In its establishment it also sells traditional Lamego sweets: Lusitanos, Peixinhos de Chila, Barquinhos de Santa Clara and a wide variety of traditional cookies. All your pastries are made by hand. Casa das Bôlas also accepts orders.

Café Lobito is one of the oldest cafés in this area of Porto, having recently undergone a renovation, giving it a modernisation and sophistication adapted to current times. It maintains the authenticity and genuineness it has always had, which translates into a close and familiar service, as well as the maintenance of the offer, based on traditional Portuguese cuisine. At Café Lobito you can choose any of the meals. For breakfast there are several menus available, from toast to a fruit buffet with granola, accompanied by a “galão” (hot drink from Portugal made of espresso and foamed milk. Similar to caffè latte or café au lait, it consists of about one quarter coffee and three quarters foamed milk. It is served in a tall glass) or fruit juice. For the complete meals the choice is not less diversified, having fish dishes, meat dishes, hamburgers, dogs, not forgetting the Francesinha (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish).

Astro Cervejaria Petisqueira has been in Porto since 1979 and says its slogan that here you can find the “real bifanas”. It is the ex-libris of O’Astro. Going here and not eating a bifana is like going to Porto once in a lifetime and not drinking a port. According to the owner, Mr. Albino, also the green broth is at the level of the bifanas, because “there is no time of day when it is not fresh, hot and ready to eat”. There are also other snacks to try, such as ham sandwiches, beef patties, shrimp patties, cod pastries, and breadcrumbs.

On April 25, 1947, Vicente Peres founded the Sical-Coffee Importer Society. A few years later, the Sical Cafeteria took another step, starting to serve coffee by the cup and continues with the transformation of the place into a cultural landmark, enriching its walls, in 1964, with two tile panels by Júlio Resende. In 2017, the master António Bessa, apprentice of Julio Resende, adds to the estate of the house another work. Confeitaria SICAL is currently a modern space with a relaxed atmosphere that complements the sophisticated views of downtown Porto with its own brand coffee. You can go with a refined pastry, varied sandwiches, toasts, natural juices and teas.
