Astro Cervejaria Petisqueira has been in Porto since 1979 and says its slogan that here you can find the “real bifanas”. It is the ex-libris of O'Astro. Going here and not eating a bifana is like going to Porto once in a lifetime and not drinking a port. According to the owner, Mr. Albino, also the green broth is at the level of the bifanas, because “there is no time of day when it is not fresh, hot and ready to eat”. There are also other snacks to try, such as ham sandwiches, beef patties, shrimp patties, cod pastries, and breadcrumbs.

Open since 1969, Concha Douro is one of the oldest pastry shops in the city of Porto. Entering this space is also taking a journey through time, promoting a welcoming environment from other times and a familiarity that one can feel. This does not mean compromising the constant updating and adaptation to the demands of the new times. Here you can make your meal at lunchtime and buy groceries; but the ex-libris of Concha Douro is its pastry shop, especially the confectionary biscuits, ‘seminaristas’ (smaller version of a traditional sweet made with puff pastry, with egg filling and cinnamon and royal glaze topping), ‘glorinhas’ (circular cake with a hole in the middle – it has more or less the shape of a donut – with a very high puff pastry basis; a thick layer of egg jam is applied on it and finally a thin white and crispy layer of sugar syrup covers it all), ‘pastéis de nata’ (Portuguese egg tart pastry dusted with cinnamon) and ‘Hungarian sweets’ (butter biscuit, half of which has chocolate coating). Concha Douro is proud of the quality of its products, which it promotes in the raw materials used and in the maintenance of the original recipes.

Mengos was born in 1978, in Porto city center, in the typical commercial area of the city. The name is due to the father of the owner who, having been emigrated in Brazil, became a fan of the Flamengo football club and hence the name of the establishment. Currently Mengos Pastelaria e Restaurante bets on the quality of products and customer service, maintaining its values, history and tradition. Here you can enjoy pastry specialties such as croissants, snacks, Jesuits, palmiers, cream and Berlin balls, as well as gastronomic specialties such as duck rice, Porto-style guts, Braga cod, Zé do Pipo cod and of course , francesinha.

It is located in one of the most central arteries of Oporto and is a space that promises to make you travel through the best of Brazilian cuisine. Meals are made with the care of anyone who discovers unique and familiar palates. Alegria Brasil specializes in snacks and meals from Brazil, offering its customers the chance to enjoy famous dishes such as picanha, Brazilian bean stew or typical snacks such as cheese bread and cold pastries, accompanied by the famous and refreshing caipirinha. You can also enjoy the chocolate brigadeiros, which are presented as one of the specialties of this house.
