Since the year of its inauguration in 1964, Café Moreira has been a reference and meeting place for generations.
It promotes a series of gatherings and social tables with friends and intellectuals from various areas, from politicians to magistrates, lawyers, engineers, architects, doctors and even artists and musicians. It was there that the poet Eugénio de Andrade used to have lunch.
Among the products sold, homemade muffins, made by Maria Lúcia for over 40 years, are the main attraction of this space. It is a reference establishment in the city of Porto, taking a special interest in its history, articulating the heritage of tradition with the winds of the new times.

Opened in 2019, in one of Porto’s best known streets, Mau Feitio, following the trend of practically every area of the city, is a café that also serves meals. Gelataria Portuense is a traditional ice cream shop where you can taste the famous ice creams produced by one of Cattabriga’s only two Effe machines in Portugal, the revolutionary machine invented in 1927 by Otello Cattabriga, an ingenious and talented Italian inventor. This is the only machine capable of reproducing the stacca and spalma movements, with the smoothness and rhythm of the Italian grandmother’s hands. This ice cream shop privileges fresh fruit and predominantly Portuguese flavors such as Port wine, “pastel de nata” and “leite creme” (cream milk), without forgetting the most requested flavors such as chocolate and vanilla. At Gelataria Portuguesa the production of ice cream is made without the use of dyes and preservatives.
