Sanzala Coffee Roasters is an artisan coffee establishment in the heart of Porto. It brings customers the best roasted coffee, ground every day and filtered by hand. The coffees come from the most varied origins, such as Captain Cook Hawai or the exclusive Blue Mountain from Jamaica. Sanzala Coffee Roasters also sells teas, chicory, barley, chocolates, coffee extraction machines and their accessories. The service is experienced, resulting in the ability to customise your coffee – the grind, blends and quantity – as almost all products are sold in bulk.

The business arose from the experience accumulated since 1987, with the establishment of the Amigos do Doce, a company that stands out for the quality and diversity of its products. They seek to ensure a technological and commercial leadership arising from the ability to meet the needs and expectations of their customers and consumers. The products that stand out are personalised birthday cakes, both for children and adults, semi-colds, ice creams, miniature sweet and savoury cakes, seasonal cakes such as ‘bolo-rei’ (a festive cake in the shape of a crown, which is part of the Portuguese tradition, and which is typically eaten at Christmas and on the Day of Kings; round in shape, with a large hole in the centre, it is made of a white, fluffy mass mixed with dried grapes, dried fruit and crystallised fruit; its name alludes to the three Wise Men), ‘pão-de-ló’ (similar to sponge cake), ‘pão-de-ló de Ovar’ and conventual sweets.
