Mercearia do Bolhão has been around since 1880 and is the oldest of its kind in Porto. He has been in the same family for over twenty years. Known for its chocolates, ‘línguas de gato’ (cat’s tongues – hard textured, cinnamon and lemon-flavoured biscuits in the shape of filled eight) and dragees, the brand still maintains tradition in its manufacturing processes. The chocolates of the brand are therefore produced from traditional recipes and methods, using natural and proven quality raw materials in their production.
