Arcádia Casa do Chocolate – Praça Velasquez

Belonging to the Bastos family since 1933, Arcádia is a brand of traditional chocolates with its own shops and it is a reference in the national chocolatery. Known for its chocolates, ‘línguas de gato’ (cat's tongues - hard textured, cinnamon and lemon-flavoured biscuits in the shape of filled eight) and dragees, the brand still maintains tradition in its manufacturing processes. The chocolates of the brand are therefore produced from traditional recipes and methods, using natural and proven quality raw materials in their production. Arcádia also offers several products produced from chocolate, such as chocolate bars or bonbons. For each one of these products it offers a variety of flavours, such as Port Wine bonbons.

Dona Vitamina is a traditional grocery store located on Rua da Torrinha and has a wide range of products to supply your needs.
With an emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables, Dona Vitamina also has a remarkable range of carefully selected regional and handcrafted reference products.
Wines, olive oils, cheeses, jams, sweets, biscuits, liqueurs and honey from various parts of the country, chosen for their proven quality, are part of the offer of this grocery store, which always receives the customer under its maximum: “We pay attention and offer sympathy”.

Queres uma Bolachada was born of a will. In a situation of unemployment, the owner started by producing homemade biscuits with low sugar levels: first for home consumption, then to offer to family and friends. The approval was immediate. It was then that the idea arose to create a space that could offer the general public these biscuits, but not only. Queres uma Bolachada is a grocery store with the purpose of promoting Portuguese products, with emphasis on products from small producers. Besides the careful selection and quality of the products, they bet on proximity with the customer, presenting those who visit them with some “small talk” from History, Gastronomy, to Popular Expressions.

Serving the general public in its space on Rua das Flores, in the historic area of Porto for almost 40 years (with the current owners at their command for 16 years), it is said that Bufete Marina is one of the best francesinhas in the city of Porto. In fact, its years of experience and the receptivity of the Portuenses towards this restaurant suggests it.
Buffet Marina, in addition to the famous French, specializes in the production of homemade cakes, being coconut cake the most requested, chocolate cake, carrot cake, cheesecakes and muffins.
However, this restaurant does not dispense the traditional combination of coffee and cream pie for a quick breakfast or snack.
