Open since 1969, Concha Douro is one of the oldest pastry shops in the city of Porto. Entering this space is also taking a journey through time, promoting a welcoming environment from other times and a familiarity that one can feel. This does not mean compromising the constant updating and adaptation to the demands of the new times. Confeitaria Lopes is inserted in a commercial gallery, managing to maintain a welcoming and familiar environment, having a decoration stripped of artifices, which gives it genuineness and authenticity. With a friendly, attentive and personalised service, with a focus on the client, Confeitaria Lopes offers a variety of products, for different occasions. You may choose to take a coffee break or to try one of its snacks, such as snacks or cakes, but also to stop and have a quick meal, to re-establish energies. In this sense, there are several proposals, from the famous Francesinha (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish), hotdogs, beefsteak on bread and on the plate, just to mention a few.

At Taparikas – Pecado das Tapas, you will find, as the name implies, a “tapas” (snacks) restaurant, but it is much more than that. It also sells regional products, such as cheese, and has a varied menu, with the specialty being steak or cod loin on hot volcanic stones. With menus suggested by the staff to suit individual tastes, it is worth going to Taparikas for the food but also for the atmosphere. If you choose to share a meal, the choice must fall on the cheese, sausages or salmon boards. The next step will be to dive into the snacks, as we have choices for everyone, like sausages, fish, seafood, vegetables, among others. You can also choose the “francesinha”.
