Founded in 2009, Chocolataria Equador works in partnership with Cacao Ecuador - Roça de Santo António, Lda. to ensure the integration of the whole process of transformation of fine chocolate, from planting to the final product. With strong connections to Sao Tome and Principe, Cacao Ecuador is proud to be independent of the massive worldwide cocoa bean marketing chain. This partnership was born from a joint desire to ensure the best and fairest practices in the whole process of chocolate processing, valuing the cocoa exploration heritage through the rehabilitation of Roça de Santo António in São Tomé.

Installed in a round building adorned with typical Portuguese tiles is Café Ponche. If you are looking for a place to take a break, to relax, to work a little at the computer, to study, to socialise, to have a cup of coffee, or a drink to regain strength, or a snack to tuck in, or a full meal at competitive prices, Café Ponche can be a serious candidate for those choices. Café Ponche bets on traditional Portuguese cuisine in the confection of its meals and suggests its customers to taste its speciality, the ‘Tripas à moda do Porto’ (the most representative dish of Porto that dates back to the time of the Portuguese Discoveries is cooked with tripe and fat meat, accompanied with thick slices of dark bread; today instead of bread white beans are used). The space is pleasant and welcoming, having, besides the interior space, an outer ne.

Restaurant do Molhe has been in operation since 1988 and underwent a major structural refurbishment in 2015. It is situated on the seafront, on the extension of the Pérgula, a belle époque symbol in the western part of Porto. With a decoration linked to the sea, it is known for its cozy atmosphere, where the customer can enjoy their meals while enjoying a great view and smelling the sea air. There is a focus on sea-based dishes and traditional food with special emphasis on fish and seafood dishes, such as prawn monkfish rice, cataplanas, seafood parrillas or grouper. There are even meat dishes such as “picanha”, “tripas” (gut) or duck rice.
