Café Ambrizete home appeared in the 70s and can be said to be part of a range of the oldest houses in the area. The name 'Ambrizete' derives from the time of the returnees, the people who returned from the old Portuguese overseas provinces, being the name of an Angolan city at the time. At the beginning, with the theme of a tea room, the space contained sofas for the comfort of its clients and paintings on the walls with the theme 'Angola'. Of these paintings it is still possible to see part of them under the false ceiling, as well as a stained glass window that is part of the origins of the house. Nowadays, the highlight goes to the games of Santa Casa, to its billiards, to the space outside and to its soup, which never disappoints its clients.

It also serves meals, with different dishes of the day, two of meat, pasta, salads and two of fish, ensuring the freshness of the fish directly from Bolhão. You can also try the francesinha here.

Officially founded in 1959, Café Santiago had opened doors before as a grazing house and tavern. Francesinha Santiago has always been the main reference of the establishment, having emerged as a result of the refining of typical Francesinha do Porto by members of the Pereira family. Its carefully selected ingredients, 100% artisanal cooking processes and the well-known special sauce whose recipe is a family secret, give Francesinha Santiago the highest reference status in national cuisine. Santiago F emerged in 2011 from the need to expand the business in light of the remarkable demand felt in the original space.
