Porto Belo Confeitaria presents itself as a familiar, welcoming and pleasant space and it can be the chosen place for a coffee break, to try its offer of confectionery or a snack, or even to have a complete meal. The menu presents several options, with a strong focus on traditional Portuguese cuisine, varying from day to day, and also having its version of the famous Porto delicacy, the Francesinha (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish). There are options of meat or fish dishes, such as “alheira” (a type of Portuguese sausage, made with meats and bread.) or “porco à Alentejana” (one of the most traditional and popular pork dishes of Portuguese cuisine, it is a combination of pork and clams, with potatoes and coriander), with very competitive prices. In addition to its gastronomic offer, there is a special care in the service, with staff which promotes familiarity and welcoming.

Café Lobito is one of the oldest cafés in this area of Porto, having recently undergone a renovation, giving it a modernisation and sophistication adapted to current times. It maintains the authenticity and genuineness it has always had, which translates into a close and familiar service, as well as the maintenance of the offer, based on traditional Portuguese cuisine. At Café Lobito you can choose any of the meals. For breakfast there are several menus available, from toast to a fruit buffet with granola, accompanied by a “galão” (hot drink from Portugal made of espresso and foamed milk. Similar to caffè latte or café au lait, it consists of about one quarter coffee and three quarters foamed milk. It is served in a tall glass) or fruit juice. For the complete meals the choice is not less diversified, having fish dishes, meat dishes, hamburgers, dogs, not forgetting the Francesinha (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish).

The restaurant Peza Arroz was born in 1944, still under the name Casa de Melgaço, and owes its name to the nickname of the owner’s great-grandfather. It is rustic and welcoming, located in the riverside area of Porto, and it serves good homemade dishes of traditional Portuguese cuisine. It is a great place to rest and regain energy, and then continue visiting the riverside area. The pleasant space outside overlooking the Douro River and the not less friendly staff of the space stand out, and you can enjoy some “Tripas à moda do Porto” (the most representative dish of Porto that dates back to the time of the Portuguese Discoveries is cooked with tripe and fat meat, accompanied with thick slices of dark bread; today instead of bread white beans are used), or a Francesinha (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish), or “bacalhau à marinheiro” (codfish fillets, soaked in seafood broth, roasted in the oven with clams, shrimps, peppers and onions), or grilled beefsteak on the dish, among others, while enjoying one of the most emblematic views of Porto and Gaia, savoured with a glass of wine.

Founded almost 20 years ago, Tutti Quanti Caffè, located in the area of São João de Brito and near the Bessa viaduct, following a bistro type design, with a careful and original decoration, is a place where you can take a break and have a cup of tea or coffee, eat a cake or something salty, to the sound of ambient music, and make a purchase for yourself or a friend. You will find three distinct spaces – Caffè, Fashion and Props, Decoration/ Gifts – which are interconnected, in a unique identity. You can have a light meal in this space or take a break to have a drink or enjoy one of your snacks. They favour good taste, creativity and originality.
