A Brasileira is one of the most famous cafes in the city, known for its architecture, notably for its façade, with its magnificent iron and glass sunshade and its stunning interior, with crystals, marbles and leather furniture. It is a coffee full of history: it was born in 1903 and was the first to serve coffee in a cup at the beginning of the 20th century. Its slogan of the time is equally recognized: “The best coffee is from Brazil”. After more than a decade of semi-abandonment, its current version opened in 2018, the result of a renovation process of the building in which it is located, preserving its original architectural features and incorporating the new Hotel Pestana Porto - A Brasileira. .
