Confeitaria Tamisa already has a history of over 50 years. In the early 2000s it was taken over by new owners who did remodeling work to adapt it to customer needs. It has a wide variety of cakes for various occasions and sweets, such as Berliner, Hungarian and Croissant balls. It also offers savory foods, such as its well-known patties, as well as its snacks, pastries and croquettes. In addition, it offers budget meals with various meat and fish alternatives at lunchtime. It operates as a bar from midnight and its extended hours allow visits until late hours, especially on weekends.

In Portugal there was no billiards, not least because the Portuguese champion competed for the title while enrolled in the Spanish Federation, but what is certain is that it has become one of Portuguese favorite sports.
