The historic Confeitaria Petúlia opened to the public in 1972 and has kept the same owners since then. It is known for its many products of recognized quality, such as “Bolo Rei”, which is considered one of the best in the city and is made throughout the whole year.
But there are other specialties, such as “húngaros”, snacks, croissants, pies and “Pão-de-Ló”, which was considered the best of Porto in a blind tasting organized by Time Out in 2014.

Trigo de Cantos is a restaurant that invites you to snack, socialize and enjoy. It is a typical northern tavern where you can taste the flavors of Amarante in an experience that should be shared. Confeitaria Império, whose foundation dates back to 1943, is one of the oldest and most charismatic patisseries in the city of Porto. It still has the tea room where the ladies used to drink port wine in teapots and the tea was served in trays, a tradition that was resumed due to the great demand for this way of serving tea.
