Cartbel Sapatarias is a family business with 21 years of experience in the footwear business. Initially it owned only one establishment in Rua de Santa Teresa, later expanding its business to Rua 31 de Janeiro. Similarly, in the early days of activity, this shoe store sells only footwear. However, with the emergence of new needs and wants from its customers, the offer expanded to meet demand. Thus, this space also had portfolios for sale.
These two types of product form the core of the Cartbel Sapatrias offering to those who visit it.

The Cufra Restaurant opened on August 15, 1974, and its opening to the general public took place on September 14 of the same year. The origin of the name appeals to our senses, as Cufra is synonymous with oasis, the largest oasis in the Sahara desert in south-eastern Libya. Cufra’s success is due to its large space, its excellent location and the service and manufacture of high quality products.
The menu highlights the famous Francesinhas and the steaks and hotdogs, which have made this establishment a landmark of Porto gastronomy for several decades.
Cufra has a private park for its guests.

The Casa Pinheiro is a traditional tavern in Porto, over 60 years old, which aims to preserve the customs of this type of houses in the city and preserve the homemade flavours. The appetizers available every day stand out, with focus on codfish fritters, Lamego ham, bucho(stomach of the animal) and boiled ears, among many others, besides traditional Portuguese cuisine day dishes, such as also ‘Tripas à moda do Porto’ (the most representative dish of Porto that dates back to the time of the Portuguese Discoveries is cooked with tripe and fat meat, accompanied with thick slices of dark bread; today instead of bread white beans are used), ‘feijoada à Transmontana’ (bean stew, usually with meat, and almost always accompanied with rice; in Portugal, it is cooked with white beans in the northwest (Minho and Douro Litoral) or red beans in the northeast (Trás-os-Montes), and usually also includes other vegetables (tomatoes, carrots or cabbage) besides pork or beef, to which can be added varied sausages), ‘cabidela’ rice (a stew that uses, during its cooking, the blood – with vinegar – of the animal that is boiled) or codfish à la Braga (cod to pieces, fried; the potatoes and onions that accompany this dish are cut into thin slices and fried in the same oil as the cod, with bay leaf and cloves), just to mention a few. The welcoming and traditional environment invites to experience, to socialise and to share typically Portuguese dishes, with a familiar service and very competitive prices.

At Portuguese Porto Market you will find the best in the country, in a space that brings together some of the most typical products of each district – wines, handicrafts, honey and olive oils, are just a few – from north to south of the country, and has space for the typical tavern where wine is drunk in the malga and there are cheese and cold meat boards, codfish balls, bifanas and pies to starve. In addition to the commercial component, ensured by artisans and authentic Portuguese brands, run by national or Portuguese-speaking entrepreneurs, the market also explores the cultural aspect through free events of Fado, concertina, folklore or Alentejo singing.
