The Bug Hug was born in 2020 as a result of the owner’s need to reinvent her career path and the synergy of family work. As an artist and educator she felt the need to redirect her work to a project that already existed in the drawer of dreams – the bug hug. The family, with more than thirty years of experience in children’s clothing, helped to give birth to a new brand of clothing aimed at babies and children. With its own design, national manufacture (in its own workshop and in partner workshops) and selected raw materials, the garments result in a contemporary and eclectic style that respects sustainability and ecological responsibility.

UfaLufa opened in 2016 and owes its name to the frantic and mind-boggling rhythm of mothers and children, who never stop quiet. Here you can find products dedicated to the children’s universe, especially brands that do not have mass distribution. The owners of the store, both mothers, try to combine the design of the pieces with its didactic side, while also considering a good price-quality relation. The store is divided in 2 areas: one with clothes for babies and children up to six years old (mostly handmade with organic materials and Portuguese brands), and another with toys, games and decorative pieces. Marretas is a ready-to-wear outfit for babies and children, especially aimed at the age group between 0 and 14 years old. It has been open to the public since 1979 and is located in the pedestrian area of ​​Rua de Cedofeita, one of the best known and oldest shopping arteries in the city of Porto. In this space, the customer will be able to find a wide diversity of garments, for both males and females, for different tastes.
