It all started in 1968, when Pedro Guimarães accepted Joaquim Mitnitsky’s invitation to work in decoration at his studio, after he graduated in painting in Lisbon. He worked in his atelier for four years and decided to venture out on his own, opening the first shop in Bairro Alto, the Obelisco.
