Latina is one of the most emblematic bookstores in Porto. It was founded in 1942 by Henrique Perdigão and is known for its façade, highlighting the bust of Luis de Camões. It was the first company in Portugal to create a literary contest, right in the year of its inauguration. The winner of the contest was Prof. José Hermano Saraiva who competed with the work “Vento vindo dos montes” using the pseudonym Simplicimus. Now part of the Leya group, Latina continues to offer its customers a wide range of books. Throughout its three floors you will find all the latest Portuguese and foreign literature, as well as technical, school, children’s and artistic books and travel guides.

Aniplay is a store dedicated to Japanese popular culture with a special focus on the Japanese animation universe.
Founded in 2013, we sell a wide selection of anime, video games, films and series related merchandise.
It also includes a space dedicated to alternative fashion and one for leisure, by using stage and multimedia material.
In this establishment, Aniplay also organizes thematic promotion events such as cosplay contests and quizzes. It also has the support of various cultural associations related to our main areas of focus, thus becoming an important hub for all culture buffs in Japan.

Placed in a building from the XIX century, since 2004, in the heart of downtown, Galeria Atelier Geraldes da Silva offers the community a space to sell and support the promotion of art, culture and intervention. Develops its activity with the collaboration of a network with other entities, training with an occupational perspective, organizing events and non-profit presentations. It also gives voice and excels in promoting well-known artists or those in the early stages of their careers.
It has already featured numerous individual and collective exhibitions, photography competitions, artistic residencies, performances, installations and occupational workshops, just to mention a few of all the initiatives.
