Founded in the distant nineteenth century, specifically in 1877, the Great Warehouses of Beira began their activity in Rua de Santa Catarina as a store selling fabrics. Today, its doors are open to the public at a different address at Rua de 31 de Janeiro.
In this establishment, with a tradition of over 140 years, you can nowadays buy products of a very different nature from those initially sold in the Department Stores, such as puzzles, postcards, souvenirs and handicrafts of Portuguese production, allowing you a short trip through culture of our country.

Fine&Candy is a luxury stationary brand that offers its customers a personalisation service that allows them to add a personal touch to the pieces developed by their designers. You have the possibility to personalise your writing pad, your leather article, or even your graphite pencil, with your name, initials or phrases of inspiration. All stationary items are executed individually, making each piece unique, using premium materials and using National Press ateliers. Fine&Candy suggests and recommends some parameters for your personalisation, but if you want another type of result, do not hesitate to contact the team.

Open to the public since November 2014, Enaltece Sabor is located in one of the busiest streets in the city. Under the sign of products of national origin, it presents a variety of Portuguese regional products of differentiated quality, highlighting the conventual sweets of Amarante, “the best palmier in the world” and the covillets of Viana do Castelo. To facilitate the choice of the most undecided, menus were created that combine the best Douro wine (white, red, rosé, Verde or even a glass of Port wine) with the best cheese, hams or smoked pork loin, to be consumed in the area. Enaltece Sabor also offers its customers a take-away service.
