The owners of Padaria Pardal assure that the best ‘regueifa’ (wheat bread, generally braided) of Porto is made by them, every Sunday. But besides bread, this establishment, whose origins are linked to the city of Amarante, also bakes Conventual and traditional sweets: “Toucinho do Céu” (a kind of cake made with pearl sugar to which ground almonds are added, sometimes gila jam and, finally, a large portion of egg yolks), “Babão” (a special cake made with many eggs and much sugar), “Pudim do Santo” (special kind of pudding, made with eggs, butter and sugar), and even biscuit cake “just like the one mother used to make”. There are plenty of reasons to visit this bakery and pastry shop. Casa Pardal is proud of its motto: “Made with the heart, delivered in hand” – which reflects the attention with which they receive each client and the demand upon the choice of the best raw materials.

Memórias’s space has existed since 1999, having moved to the historic center of Porto. It was born with the purpose of showing the importance of Portuguese handicrafts in the decoration, making known to the general public the hand out of the artisans and offering tourists a glimpse of one of the riches of Portugal – linen, lace, embroidery, stone, iron, Ceramics, tile, clay, wood, are the raw materials used. The space is invaded by the smells of roses, lavender, and soaps that were reborn from ancient times. It is particularly known for the variety of cribs. It is also a place where unique and original pieces are created, with much demand for loyal customers.

At A Casinha da Maria customers can find various types of regional food products: olive oil and preserves, traditional sweets, bread and smoked meats from Trás-os-Montes, ‘folares, wines, honey, cheese and butter, among many others.
Here, the delicacies are 100% Portuguese, highlighting the Bolo-rei and the Bolo Raínha, baked in a wood oven.
All products are handmade and traditionally made, with reduced use of additives.
