Fado na Baixa provides moments of Portuguese culture, with the production and unique performances of Fado de Coimbra and Fado de Lisboa, of high technical and artistic quality. In their small auditorium, live music performances are brought to life that enable those who visit not only to listen but also to know the history and essence of Fado. In a prime location, on a street overlooking the Douro River and the historic Ribeira area, Fado na Baixa occupies the first floors of a charming 18th century building and welcomes you in a sober, warm and intimate atmosphere. Placed in a building from the XIX century, since 2004, in the heart of downtown, Galeria Atelier Geraldes da Silva offers the community a space to sell and support the promotion of art, culture and intervention. Develops its activity with the collaboration of a network with other entities, training with an occupational perspective, organizing events and non-profit presentations. It also gives voice and excels in promoting well-known artists or those in the early stages of their careers.
