The owner's name is Eugenia and the history of her café is a “funny" one: she worked in a school nearby, but she did not like working there very much. She took care of the children when they were on their break, but while during school hours her work was more quiet. Bored, but still without another job in sight, she found herself forced to find an escape as an excuse to get out of there. One day, while passing through the street of Bonjardim, she saw a shop that was about to wander and thought she could open a café in that space, betting on her homemade dumplings, something she loved to do. And so Geninha appeared, the name by which she was called at school, where she could share her cakes and snacks.
Traditional Portuguese cuisine, cakes, snacks.

Mengos was born in 1978, in Porto city center, in the typical commercial area of the city. The name is due to the father of the owner who, having been emigrated in Brazil, became a fan of the Flamengo football club and hence the name of the establishment. Currently Mengos Pastelaria e Restaurante bets on the quality of products and customer service, maintaining its values, history and tradition. Here you can enjoy pastry specialties such as croissants, snacks, Jesuits, palmiers, cream and Berlin balls, as well as gastronomic specialties such as duck rice, Porto-style guts, Braga cod, Zé do Pipo cod and of course , francesinha.

Having started as a project to sell bicycles in the city of Setúbal, Casa da Zazá arrived in Porto in June 2019. It specializes in the sale of Brazilian pies and Brazilian gastronomy in general, also functioning as a handcrafted hamburger restaurant.
At Casa da Zazá you will find everything as if you were in Brazil: chicken fricassee, beans, meatloaf with mushrooms, traditional chicken dishes, and of course the pies with sweet and salty fillings.
Every day there is a different dish for lunch, always with very low prices.

With a rustic and elegant decoration, highlighting the granite walls, Churrascão Gaúcho is a typical Brazilian restaurant that has been delighting Portuenses since 1981. Its specialty is Brazilian food and Brazilian barbecue, which can be consumed through caster system or à la carte. However, its specialties are not limited to Brazilian food, as it also has a good offer of traditional Portuguese cuisine, including several dishes of cod, squid, octopus and seafood. At lunchtime it offers cheaper lunch menus with meat and fish options.
