Guedes Ópticas was founded in 1982 by brothers Agostinho and Álvaro Guedes, opticians / optometrists, graduated from the Portuguese School of Ocular Optics. The Guedes Ópticas, a shop belonging to the renowned and demanding Institutóptico group, has served hundreds of customers, privileging the excellence of service quality, combining competence and passion for its field. It is no coincidence that its owner and manager, Agostinho Guedes, was 11 years ahead of the destinies of the National Association of Opticians. Born in Lisbon in 2014,as the result of a strong passion for sunglasses design and vintage glasses. With the dream of creating his own brand, Fora was born, in a combination of individual experiences, the places that marked the growth of designers and the people they met. Taking the photographic memories and the eyeglass collections of their parents, which bring together a timeless aesthetic and a perfect artefact, they created the commitment to create glasses with high quality materials, handmade by experienced craftsmen, inspired by the people, places and stories of Lisbon. Perfumes & Companhia is nowadays one of the major national store chains dedicated to beauty and well-being products, having been active in the market for over twenty years.
