After several years of experience in the cartoon market, Livraria Manuel Santos opened its physical space in 1999, in Vila Nova de Gaia. About a decade later it moved to Porto. The Livraria Manuel Santos offers a great diversity of old books, first editions, Portuguese literature, monographs and manuscripts. It is a modern space, easily accessible. The Guardian, when voting on the ten most “COOL” neighbourhoods of European cities, put the neighbourhood where the bookshop is located in fourth place, placing Porto ahead of Berlin, Rome, Paris and Warsaw, for example. Irmãos Carvalho Coleccionismo is entirely dedicated to collecting, specializing in numismatics and notafilia. Located in the heart of Porto, near the City Hall, has gained over the years a worldwide expression having, at this moment, customers in all corners of the planet. Being in this branch of business, sells and buys to expand the collecting drive of each, with pieces with hundreds of years or just a few days of circulation, of greater or lesser value. It sells Portuguese banknotes and coins from the 17th century, Eurozone, former Portuguese colonies and other countries, collector’s collateral and other collectibles.

Rosa Malva is the extension of Mané Pupo, the creator, specialised in ceramics, to which she brings her sensitivity and artistic training in several areas and creates pieces that delight us with details, tenderness, and the stories they tell. It’s an autobiographical project, but with the mission to ensure that what truly matters – love and joy, is celebrated time and again, anytime, anywhere. The collections Ternura and dos Santos stand out. The first explores the values of affection, friendship, love, and tenderness, based on family ties, while the latter explores her Catholic Education, humanising and restoring sacred beings to the status of human beings.
