Founded in 1936, Casa Botónia is an emblematic haberdashery whose main attraction is its buttons. In fact, here you will find all sorts of buttons of various colors and materials, from the simplest to the most precious, most of which are imported from France and Italy. We highlight the mother-of-pearl buttons, one of the strengths of Botonia. The huge variety of buttons that can be found here attract from amateur couturiers to renowned designers, who find raw material for their collections here. Its unique and genuine ambience, with its button-lined walls and jewelery, is more than enough to warrant a visit to this historic shop.

It was founded in the 50s of the last century, selling mainly fabrics by the metre and offal. It then turned to confection, mainly skirts and dresses for customers, employees in the surrounding service sectors. This ready-to-wear grew in the number of female employees and adapted to the new realities and latest trends in fashion. Today, with two open spaces, they function as multi-brand outdoor and indoor clothing establishments for women and men, in continuous operation since September 1974 with the current owners, being part of the traditional commerce of the city of Porto and having at its disposal a dedicated and specialized team.

Chess & Hats has two specific products: chess and hats. These two combined items arise from the passion of Sven Fiel, the owner: “It is possible to love two things that combine perfectly in a poetic imaginary. A journey was made and with that came the contagion, the inspiration for each one to tell his own story, perhaps with his own Hat or playing Chess”.
Here we sell chess sets for an infinite variety of styles – classic, modern, fantasy and extra-luxury. They have their own brand of FIELSVEN Millinery Hats, premium felt only in rabbit, hare and beaver Furfelt.
