Located in one of the noblest areas of the city, Relojoaria da Batalha is one of the oldest clock houses in downtown Porto. It has more than 55 years of existence and is one of the few watch houses in Oporto that sells antique mechanical, wrist and pocket watches. It was founded by José Mendonça de Costa. Its current owner Eduardo Pinto, a former employee, inherited from the founder his knowledge and fascination with mechanical watches, thus not ending the art of mechanical watchmaking in the city of Porto.
