The shop Um Porto de Tarot appeared in 2021 and sells products and services linked to intuitive sciences: tarot cards, incense, decorative objects, minerals, as well as watches, necklaces, wallets and other accessories, all with a touch of originality.
The owner, Irina Santos, is a biotechnological engineer by training and she states she is a “tarologist at heart”. She defines her establishment as a “haven of refuge”, promoting balance and personal well-being, through individual Tarot, Runes and Gypsy Deck consultations and training for all those who acknowledge the potential of these tools of self-knowledge.

This shop-workshop, open to the public since the early twentieth century, offers a wide range of candles for religious, decorative or similar purposes, all made by themselves. The establishment was created by the uncles of the current owner, Luis Rocha, and knowledge of production methods has been passed down from generation to generation. They produce handmade paraffin candles, which are the most sought after, according to the traditional method of “diving”. The establishment has already been built, but the traditional method of manufacture remains unchanged to this day. It is very visited by the amount of candles hanging from the ceiling, which gives it a unique look.

Casa Coração de Jesus (House Heart of Jesus) has existed since 1885 and has been in the same family for four generations. Its specialty is religious articles, both for celebrations and for procession rituals, focusing on the quality of their products. It began to devote himself to religious embroidery, but had to reinvent himself after the Second Vatican Council, which eventually reduced the demand for such articles. The building where it is located was built with the purpose of being a bank house, hence its iron door and the safe that come from that time. The store features eye-catching architecture with carved ceilings, stained glass and a facade that makes it unique.
