Open since 2014, the Italian Gelataria Monalisa was born from the will of a Portuguese and an Italian who came together to recreate a typical Italian ice cream shop in the heart of Porto. With their own and exclusive handmade production, the products are imported from Italy, to produce unique flavors of fruits, nuts or even their favorite chocolates. By the way, the most sought after flavors are those that recreate bar or chocolate chocolates, such as KitKat, Ferrero Rocher or Raffaello. Basically, Monalisa sells dreams because, according to the inscription on its walls, “a dream should be synonymous with ice cream, because both complete each trace of your life with a piece of sugar.”

Sinatra’s is a café, snack bar, situated in the historic centre of Porto, in a space with a decoration without great artifices, which gives it a familiar and welcoming atmosphere, typical of the old cafés of the city. It has extended opening hours and billiards on the lower floor, you can smoke in the space, tobacco is sold and there is free Wi-Fi network. It can be the ideal place to take a coffee break, or to have breakfast or a snack, with a varied offer of pastry and bakery, as well as to have a complete meal. The bet is on the traditional Portuguese cuisine and every day there are different dishes, inserted in menus with very competitive prices. There are Francesinhas (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish)and special hotdogs.

Gelataria Portuense is a traditional ice cream shop where you can taste the famous ice creams produced by one of Cattabriga’s only two Effe machines in Portugal, the revolutionary machine invented in 1927 by Otello Cattabriga, an ingenious and talented Italian inventor. This is the only machine capable of reproducing the stacca and spalma movements, with the smoothness and rhythm of the Italian grandmother’s hands. This ice cream shop privileges fresh fruit and predominantly Portuguese flavors such as Port wine, “pastel de nata” and “leite creme” (cream milk), without forgetting the most requested flavors such as chocolate and vanilla. At Gelataria Portuguesa the production of ice cream is made without the use of dyes and preservatives.
