Museu dos Presuntos – Foz

With a tradition of over 20 years, Museu dos Presuntos is already an emblematic restaurant in Porto. With a very comfortable and welcoming space and a very characteristic decoration, it is the ideal place to have some snacks with friends, accompanied by a refreshing sangria or a glass of wine. It also has a great diversity of meat and fish dishes as well as vegetarian dishes. Among other alternatives, we can highlight, for example, Posta à Museu, the Museu’s octopus or pataniscas d'Avó. It also offers delicious desserts, including the chocolate cake.

Let’s talk about couverts. If there are restaurants that put the tickets on the table without the customer asking, permission is requested here. However, according to customers, entries should be mandatory. The chef Luís Américo makes sure that all the confection is handmade and made on site. So, if you spread black garlic butter and paprika on a sweet, still warm, sweet potato bread, you need not ask where such delicacy will come from. Comes from the chef’s kitchen. And we are only talking about entries. With a strong focus on Portuguese cuisine, chef Luís Américo added simple things of direct flavors to his dishes, depending on the trips he made. Momentu’s Café is an establishment that specializes in Brazilian food. Your kitchen never closes, so you can taste a well prepared food at any time of the day, be it a typical Brazilian snack food like cheese bread or the famous pastries or various cakes like the classic brigadeiros. All this accompanied by a juice of Brazilian fruit pulp or coconut water. At meals, they offer dishes with ingredients such as Seara’s chicken breast, South American picanha and Uruguayan Beef. Menu dishes include chicken filet, parmigiana, chicken breast stroganoff, chicken pancake or oven kibe. All served with the Brazilian way of serving well.

Initially, the Pão com Manteiga (meaning Bread with Butter) was supposed to be just a cafeteria. It became a restaurant since a student asked if he could have for lunch the food that Zaina, the principal manager and cook, used to cook for her husband and children. That day she didn’t even charge money to the student, who the next day returned with a group of friends. That day she served 10 dishes, the next day she served 20 and today it’s served an average of 200 dishes a day of simple and delicious homemade food. Noteworthy are the traditional Portuguese and Brazilian dishes, but also the famous Brazilian pastries and desserts, such as brigadeiros. It has a nice terrace in which you can enjoy on sunny days.
