Founded in 1991, the Alicantina group nowadays has two restaurants and also catering services. Located in accessible areas of the city and close to places of tourist interest, its establishments have a menu inspired by Portuguese cuisine, from the famous “francesinhas” to traditional cakes and pastries. We offer visit booking services to places of interest as well as official guides to accompany them. With over 10 years of experience in catering and banquet services, the group offers a personalized and quality service in this area of its activity.

After working 24 years in a large company, the owner of this space realized her dream of many years of having an establishment that allows her to have contact with people. The taste for typical and regional products and the art of welcoming and the passion to know new flavors and stories, is the origin of this store. In this cozy and familiar space you can buy and taste traditional flavors from all parts of the country, such as jams, corns, olive oil, cookies, honey, cakes, pão de Ló, craft beer and wines. You can also enjoy soups, salads and other snacks on site, as well as have your coffee.

Pinguim Café is a pub with a traditional atmosphere, which opened in 1987 and has a history of regular culture-related activities.
It has a long tradition of poetry evenings on Monday, started by Joaquim Castro Caldas for over 30 years, followed by poets such as Manuel Jorge Marmelo, João Habitualmente, Daniel Maia-Pinto Rodrigues, Valter Hugo Mãe, Filipa Leal, Paulo Campos dos Reis, Renato Filipe Cardoso.
Penguin Café stands out for the quality of its tonic gins and has a phrase that characterizes them “Not only of Gin lives the Penguin”. You should try the excellent hot chocolate, wines, cocktails, craft beers and snacks.
