Bridging the old and the contemporary, António Sousa Oliveira’s Binding Workshop is one of the few spaces dedicated to this activity that still resists the passage of time.
Founded in 1969, with a small workshop on Rua das Taipas, it moved in 1974 to the space where it still stands today, Rua do Pinheiro.
Its founder, António Oliveira, passed on to his descendants all his passion and dedication for the art of binding. They are the ones who, today, make use of this excellent training and lead this family business, continuing a craft business that has already been operating for half a decade.
