Opened in December 2015 and inspired by a Tokyo bar but with its own twist, BOP Café is a nice bar in central Porto where you can enjoy American food, such as hamburgers, bagels or sandwiches, accompanied by various types of coffee or international beers, to the sound of traditional vinyl records. With a large collection of jazz, soul and blues, vinyl records can even be heard individually by BOP attendees through turntables with a headphone jack on some of the tables, making this cafe not only a relaxed place to hang out, but a great space for music lovers.

Say Cheese is a shop specialised in cheese and wine with an area for tasting and conviviality. The shop area is right at the entrance of the new space and has several national and international suggestions that you can take home. There are boards that can be accompanied with sweets, jams and wine glasses. At the end of the room, after passing the shop, there is the tasting area. Everything that arrives at the table has cheese, of course, and that which varies are the accompaniments. You can go through the shop window and choose three, five or seven of your favourite cheeses. You can add side dishes such as chutney, jam, olives or dried fruit. There are also drink tastings, with advice on the cheese to go with them.

Café Ambrizete home appeared in the 70s and can be said to be part of a range of the oldest houses in the area. The name ‘Ambrizete’ derives from the time of the returnees, the people who returned from the old Portuguese overseas provinces, being the name of an Angolan city at the time. At the beginning, with the theme of a tea room, the space contained sofas for the comfort of its clients and paintings on the walls with the theme ‘Angola’. Of these paintings it is still possible to see part of them under the false ceiling, as well as a stained glass window that is part of the origins of the house. Nowadays, the highlight goes to the games of Santa Casa, to its billiards, to the space outside and to its soup, which never disappoints its clients.
