Confeitaria Moura Baixa

Pastelaria e Confeitaria Moura was born in 1892 in the city of Santo Tirso, producing to this day a huge variety of ancestral recipes, with Jesuits and lemonade being their main specialties. Its revenues have been held for over 125 years by the same family, a secret passed on from generation to generation. The quality of our products derives fundamentally from the authenticity of its manufacture, careful selection of raw materials and the controlled pace of production time. The group's most recent store brings with it many new features for breakfast and lunch. In the center of Porto, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy one of its delicacies.

At Restaurante Ro, the name derives from ramen. Ro is ramen, but not only. Ramen is usually composed of a type of Chinese noodles, a soup with broth based on pork bones, fish or chicken, and seasoned with a tarare base (sauce) that gives flavor to the base broth. Here you will find Japanese-based ramens and, as people often say, with a “Portuguese attitude of travel and discovery with little prejudice and without limits of influence”. You can also try okonomiyakis, a kind of Japanese pancakes, donburis, rice bowls with toppings and various starters, croquettes, mushrooms, chicken wings, beef tartar or spicy tuna and desserts. The house drinks are ro hai and there is also a generous drink list.

O Melhor Bolo de Chocolate do Mundo (The Best Chocolate Cake in the World) opened in 2011 a small and cozy space in downtown Porto. It all started when Carlos Braz Lopes tried to recreate in his restaurant, former Mercado Santa Clara, a recipe he had tasted in Paris.
The result was not very close to the original, but the success was such that customers who tasted eventually dubbed the creation of “the best chocolate cake in the world”.
Layers of meringue wrapped in french chocolate mousse topped with a chocolate ganache – these are the traits that make this cake a unique experience. No wonder this delight has already reached such distinct points of the globe as Spain, Brazil, Australia and Angola.
