Initially, the Pão com Manteiga (meaning Bread with Butter) was supposed to be just a cafeteria. It became a restaurant since a student asked if he could have for lunch the food that Zaina, the principal manager and cook, used to cook for her husband and children. That day she didn’t even charge money to the student, who the next day returned with a group of friends. That day she served 10 dishes, the next day she served 20 and today it’s served an average of 200 dishes a day of simple and delicious homemade food. Noteworthy are the traditional Portuguese and Brazilian dishes, but also the famous Brazilian pastries and desserts, such as brigadeiros. It has a nice terrace in which you can enjoy on sunny days.

Pastelaria e Confeitaria Moura was born in 1892 in the city of Santo Tirso, producing to this day a huge variety of ancestral recipes, with Jesuits and lemonade being their main specialties.
Its revenues have been held for over 125 years by the same family, a secret passed on from generation to generation.

It identifies itself as a traditional Portuguese food restaurant and has space for group dinners.
