Buttons, buttons and more buttons. The well-buttoned “Wasp” and parked outside the door is the ideal business card for a space where buttons are the main actors and storytellers. Each has a life of its own, a tale to tell, a unique experience and feel. Son and grandson of seamstresses and with the "pet" of mechanics, Rui Oliveira always coexisted with the buttons. It grew with them, but its process in the art of creation begins in jewelery, in the preciousness of filigree, where everything is worked by hand, meticulously. Creating a different concept coupled with a life course brought him back to the origins, the buttons and, with them, storytelling.

Portugalidades is a chain of stores, founded in 2010, which specializes in the sale of national handicraft pieces. This brand works directly with artisans and artists from various corners of Portugal, in order to fulfill its mission of exhibiting and promoting the best that is done in terms of Portuguese handicrafts, both at the traditional and contemporary levels.

Since 1897 Príncipe Porto Portugal has been engaged in the marketing and dissemination of genuinely Portuguese regional and traditional products in the field of clothing and footwear, scarves, shawls and regional costumes. It is recognized in Portugal and abroad for the originality, authenticity and quality of the products. Exports to Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australia. In this store of great tradition, the customer can immerse himself deeply in Portuguese culture through the clothes and objects that mark its long history. The interior features various cast iron elements, including a spiral staircase leading to the sewing workshop.

The owners of Padaria Pardal assure that the best ‘regueifa’ (wheat bread, generally braided) of Porto is made by them, every Sunday. But besides bread, this establishment, whose origins are linked to the city of Amarante, also bakes Conventual and traditional sweets: “Toucinho do Céu” (a kind of cake made with pearl sugar to which ground almonds are added, sometimes gila jam and, finally, a large portion of egg yolks), “Babão” (a special cake made with many eggs and much sugar), “Pudim do Santo” (special kind of pudding, made with eggs, butter and sugar), and even biscuit cake “just like the one mother used to make”. There are plenty of reasons to visit this bakery and pastry shop. Casa Pardal is proud of its motto: “Made with the heart, delivered in hand” – which reflects the attention with which they receive each client and the demand upon the choice of the best raw materials.
