Founded in 1957, Deltrilã dedicates to retail of knitting threads, valuing the national production and promoting the Know-how and selling of Portuguese products. Located in the historic centre, facing Bolhão, it dedicates to Knitting threads retail, providing its clients a wide range of wools, cottons, arraiolos’ wools, jute canvas/Smyrna, needles for all types of crafts, among other products. It all started in 1968, when Pedro Guimarães accepted Joaquim Mitnitsky's invitation to work in decoration at his studio, after he graduated in painting in Lisbon. He worked in his atelier for four years and decided to venture out on his own, opening the first shop in Bairro Alto, the Obelisco. In 1976, he opened a shop in Porto, a city that still welcomes him today. Pedro Guimarães is one of the most renowned interior designers and this shop reveals some details of his philosophy.
