Is it a café? Is it a pastry shop? Or a hostel? A place to work? An art gallery? A guest house? A beer garden? A house? A space for concerts? A restaurant? An insta gem? A meeting point? A central café? Yes, Supernova is all this, at the same time. If you want, it is the ideal place to have your head on the Moon, because all the decoration goes around the Moon, the planets, the comets and the galaxies. The aim is to serve guests, but also all those who pass by there. They have yogurt bowls with homemade granola, fruit and honey, brownies and homemade cakes, vegetarian dips, salads, and also toasts, such as Supernova, the star of the company and “the first sandwich to travel in space”, as it reads on the menu.

Whether for lunch, or simply to enjoy a snack, this central café, located in front of São Bento station, is a typical meeting point in Porto. If you are looking for a last coffee before taking the train, this is probably the right destination. It serves daily meals at competitive prices, with soup, main course, drink and coffee, and also has other offers, such as salads, soups, nails on plate and bread, hamburgers on plate and bread, omelettes, hot dogs, codfish dishes, sausage, meat rissoles and shrimp, not to mention its version of the famous Francesinha (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish), just to mention some. Accompany it with the house drinks.

Chamiço opened its doors in April 1972. In this space you will find the flavors of traditional cuisine and also, according to themselves, “the best Francesinhas in Porto region.” This restaurant/snack bar has two rooms, including a smoking room with capacity of 120 seats. It has take-away service. The service is personalized and friendly. As part of the Madureira’s group, it specializes in Stuffed Crab, Natural prawns, Monkfish Rice, Codfish with bread, Hake Fillets, Laminated Picanha with Garlic, Mixed Kebabs, Three Peppers Steak and Mixed Grill, among others.
