The Livraria Utopia was born at a time when alternative bookstores established after 25 April 1974 had already closed. It opened its doors in 1982, right next to the headquarters where so many demonstrations took place during the PREC, by the hand of libertarian members of the editorial cooperative A Centelha, also functioning as a support to the distribution of this historic and resistant publisher from Coimbra, established after the academic crisis of 69, by the hands of Professor Sobral Martins.
